Name that tune!

This year in grades 1-2-3 we are studying major composes and their most popular works.  Some of those are linked here in this thinglink!

Jingle Jumble

Tech assignment for today:

Search Jamendo for a version of jingle bells.

Download to your computer.

Open a garage band “loops” new song.

Add the Jingle Bell file into a new basic track.

Add loops, etc to create your own mashup.

PART TWO: create a short video in Imovie, using your composed jingle bells mashup as a soundtrack.  See Ms Wooten for more details!

NASA Sound library

Nasa has released sound clips of launches, conversation, and other “space sounds” on Sound Cloud for public use.  We will be using these in some of our mashups in garageband this spring.  Check it out!

New Music and Art Room!

WHAT has been happening at the Barnard School? While we have all been on summer vacation, Mrs. Sheckells and Mrs Wooten have been getting a new space all ready for our music and art classes. This year we will be downstairs, and are working hard to make sure the space is perfect for learning. We can’t wait to show it to you all!
